Come out to support our XC team as they compete in the State Meet this Saturday, November 7, at Carrollton High School (202 Trojan Dr, Carrollton, GA 30117)

Bus will leave at 11:00 a.m. Other RHS XC team members are welcome to ride the bus; in order to get your name on that list, please let Coach Evans know by Friday at 10:00 a.m. Once the bus is full, team members will have to provide their own transportation to the meet.

Dylan’s dad, Steve, passed away last night in his sleep. RHS XC extends our deepest sympathies to Dylan, his mom, Lidia, and his sister, Giselle.

The girls and boys teams had a very successful day yesterday at the Region 5-AAAAAA Championship at Boling Park. The boys finished a very strong 2nd, surprising everyone but themselves and their coaches. They had 4 guys, Parker Roberts, Dylan Gelobter, Davis Tardif, and Brice Lyons, all in the top 15 and just as importantly, Owen McCarty ran a big PR as 5th man to close out the Hornet scoring. The boys now have a final week to prepare for the GHSA State Meet in Carrollton at 2:50.
While the girls team finished 5th and didn’t qualify, they had stellar efforts overcoming injury and illness to place 5th. Rachel VanAmburgh and Kara Coulter qualified as individuals finishing 3rd and 4th, and will represent the Hornets at the State meet, racing after the boys at 3:30.
We as coaches couldn’t be more proud of all the team members who finished their season in great form. We appreciate their efforts through a long season, and look forward to the upcoming State Meet and next year.

All runners are invited to the final pasta dinner on Thursday, October 29. This is a team event, please plan to attend, even if you have already ended your season.

Coach Evans will map the run on Thursday to end at the pasta dinner location at the Bourne’s home. Please plan on picking up your runner at the dinner location.
