Roswell High School Cross Country

As our RHS XC team winds down it’s season, two of our board members will be rotating off the board and we need to replace them. Get involved and support your runner for the 2016 and 2017 season!

Cathy Roberts will be leaving the treasurer’s position with the graduation of her son, Parker, after serving 2 years.

Joan McCarty will be leaving the secretary’s position after two years as secretary and having served previously on the board as treasurer for 3 years.

These positions are 2-year terms. Current board president, Paul Tardif, and vice president, Liz Rains, will continue in their current positions.

Treasurer’s position entails receiving, depositing, and writing checks; keeping track of expenses and advising the board on setting budgeting priorities. If you have questions about the job of treasurer for the RHS XC Board, please contact Cathy Roberts at cathy@soundbyteinc.com

Secretary’s position entails registering runners and families with the booster club, communicating information regarding team events and meets to the families, working closely with the vice president (volunteer coordinator, Liz Rains) and working closely with the treasurer. If you have questions about the job of secretary, please contact Joan McCarty at joanmccarty05@gmail.com

If you don’t have any questions about either of these positions and you are interested in being on the XC board as either treasurer or secretary, we are currently accepting candidates. Please send an email to Joan McCarty to get your name on the list.

This Saturday, October 17, 2015, is our meet at the Nike Fleet Feet/Coach Wood Invitational at University of North Georgia – Gainesville Campus located at 3820 Mundy Mill Rd, Gainesville, GA 30503.

Bus leaves at 5:30 a.m. from RHS.

Hey Everyone!

RHS XC will be hosting (hopefully) our third pasta dinner of the season on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the home of Eric and Olya Broadwell, 11140 West Rd, immediately following practice.

This event is for all runners (regardless of whether you have chosen to end your season) and coaches.

Our Pasta Dinner Committee is requesting help. If possible, please sign up on the link below to bring an item, or help with set up and clean up. If we can’t get enough parents to fill the slots, we’ll cancel the dinner.

Just a quick reminder to everyone that there will be NO practice tomorrow, October 12, 2015.

RHS XC will be back at it on Tuesday at the regular after-school time.

This Thursday, Oct. 15, is the pasta dinner. More details to follow later this week. As a reminder, this event is for all runners, regardless of whether you have ended or season or have continued to run. This is a team event.

As the team prepares to go to Furman tomorrow, we thought it would be a nice gesture for us to bring a donation from the team to help the flood victims in South Carolina. So if you are interested please send a check or cash with your athlete if they are competing tomorrow and if they aren’t you can drop it by the school today or next week. We are also planning on taking the leftover water from Covered Bridge to donate and feel free to add to that.
